"UPI" means staff record that the customer paid by UPI. Celstix does not verify that payment unless you add the paid payment gateway integration.
What it does not do
- No GST return filing (GSTR), e-invoicing or e-way bills.
- No retail stock, barcode scanning or purchase billing.
- No billing in currencies other than Indian rupees.
Free plan limits: up to 5 locations, 25 team logins, 100 restaurant tables and 300 hostel rooms per business. They exist to protect the shared service from abuse. If your business needs more, contact us.
Common questions
What is the best free billing software?
It depends on your business. There is no single best tool. For a restaurant, hostel, gym or small hotel, Celstix includes billing with the daily operations of that business. For a shop or freelancer who mainly needs GST invoices and stock, a general billing tool such as Zoho Invoice or myBillBook is a better fit.
Is Celstix free billing software?
Yes. Billing is part of the free core platform for restaurants, hostels, gyms and hotels. Only WhatsApp Business API, payment gateway and custom integrations are paid.
Can a retail shop use Celstix for billing?
It is not built for retail. There is no barcode scanning, stock management or purchase billing.
Does Celstix file GST returns?
No. It does not produce GSTR filings, e-invoices or e-way bills. Export your numbers as CSV for your accountant.
